Hi there! I am Adam, the guy behind StrongHealthLife.com
I have always taken a keen interest in my own health, diet, fitness, and physical training as required throughout my 14-year long career across multiple physically demanding roles in the Military. Whilst I have been discharged and no longer serve in active duty, physical fitness is still incredibly important to me.
I started Strong Health Life to share my experience and knowledge so that everyone with the discipline to turn up can get a little bit Stronger and Healthier each day.
I have suffered many small and several serious injuries throughout my career and am no stranger to the rehab process and having to incrementally build up my strength, flexibility, and conditioning again. This has included Plantar Fasciitis, multiple dislocations, and spinal injuries.
I am thankful for having a wonderful team of Doctors, Surgeons, Physiotherapists, Rehab consultants, Nutritionists and Physical Training Instructors who have been able to help me return to my peak physical fitness.
My motto is just to keep showing up. Put in the reps, put in the effort. You don’t need to go design some insane routine – keep it basic and just show up. Build up your discipline incrementally, and you will build up your strength.
I also believe in the Garbage in = Garbage out philosophy. Yes we have all heard of ‘If It Fits Your Macro Bro’ crowd, however it does not take a genius to realize if you are supplying your body with Junk and not providing it the nutrients it needs, you are disadvantaging yourself.
I prefer to provide my body with nutrients it needs through whole foods, such as Vegetables, Fruits, Nuts, Grains and small amounts of animal proteins.
Training wise, I am a fan of getting time under the bar, and have been a big fan of the 5×5 strong-lifts program, Pilates, and low impact cardio such as swimming.
